This has been on my mind lately...what is honor? how do we honor? and what does everyone else think of honor...? do we honor ourselves and what is that core value within us...is it different for us all....
Well, I do know where and why it surfaced but no detail at the moment....suffice it to say that I am much more mindful of the meaning of that word for me....I want my wishes and requests to be honored...and I want to make sure that I honor others in the same manner....
I have most of my life been a late bloomer...I was not a hippie until later in my life and then I have always seemed to attract those teaches in my life that have tested my core values and also made me aware of "walking my talk"...
Before I loose myself in this, my little rant on honor....I attended my Hawaiian mom's birthday party the other evening.....I was most fortunate to meet this woman many years ago when relocating to Hawaii...she took me into her home and by her example taught me many things....I believe one of those was HONOR.... honor the land, the people, the plants, the sea creatures, the value system where you are, yourself, your ancestors and your elders, your children, your possessions, HONOR....
